Yerba mate is actually kind of bitter although they do put sugar in it. Once our landlord put so much sugar in the mate and I tried some and ZOOOOOMMM I was out of control!

Sorry for being late with comment: very nice pictures H you're really well known around the world! My mum used to drink this herb tea and I had some, too. It tastes a bit strange, but interesting a very refreshable when enjoyed cold.
