As you may remember JB went on a Spring Trek last year to search for The Great Mother Bear. All the details of that trek are on the Cuddly Council website. The bear's book of lore and wisdom (http://www.cuddlycouncil.com/lore.pdf) was the outcome of that trip.
JB informed me a short time ago that he had a dream recently. In the dream he heard that the Great Bear God who lives in the sky, is angry. He believes that this is why we are having such bloody awful weather this year. He has resolved to focus his trek this year on communing on a hilltop with the Great Bear God, Doris, in the hope that he can find out what is making her mad. As a sideline he intends to drop in on Great Mother Bear who he feels sure will tell him which hill he should climb. He also indicated to me that he expects to find out what the meaning of life is.
On overhearing this, English bear made mention of several empty wine bottles located beneath JB's chair, and speculated that JB's dream may be motivated by a spirit of another kind.
It is always worrying when JB takes off on his wandering, but he is a very free spirited bear and usually ends up alright. Worc (http://www.cuddlycouncil.com/members.html) has promised to keep an eye on him from the air and report back to us here.
JB never tells us when he will leave, as he waits for the call of the forest.
